Cariveth — The 250th Working Kit

¥3,271 JPY

A small, handmade kit for the July 4 grief working. Crocheted one at a time.

Some grief doesn't have a name in the languages around us. Not the loss of a person — the loss of a world you believed in. This is a small kit for doing something with it.

Cariveth is a vessel we build together across the July 4 window — a place to pour the grief, the rage, the misguided destruction, and let it come back out as love of humans because they exist. You don't have to fix anything or pick a side. You sit down wherever your body is, let your piece move through, and come back to your night. All across the window, other people are feeding the same vessel, each of us holding a thread.

The whole working is free — you can do every bit of it with what's already in your house, and the full how-to lives on the ritual page. This kit exists for the days you don't have the spoons to gather supplies, or the closet to do it quietly, or for when you just want something made by hands instead of scrounged from a drawer. I crochet each one myself. More than any profit, I want people to join me.

What's inside:

  • A hand-crocheted keychain — a soft circle with a star on the front, the working's sigil drawn on the star's back
  • A eucalyptus scent bead worked onto the keychain hardware, to clear yourself before you begin
  • A piece of seed paper inscribed with the same sigil — bury it after and wildflowers may come
  • The full ritual, printed on cardstock, so you never need a screen

You keep the keychain after. It's a memento of our shared journey.

Random color shipped: red, white, or blue. You hold one color; across the working, others hold the other two. No single thread is the whole cloth — that's the point.

Because I make each one by hand, order by June 27 to be sure it reaches you before you sit down to the working. Close to the line? Reach out — the working can be done across the whole window, not only on the Fourth.

If a kit isn't in the cards right now, please grab the free download instead. It's genuinely free, no signup, and it's a complete way in. Both are the work.

With truce, with peace, with love.
